CCTV Shows Child Killer's Final Moments Before Prison Murder

Chilling CCTV footage has revealed the final moments of child killer Kyle Bevan, who was brutally murdered in his cell at HMP Wakefield by three convicted murderers. The 33-year-old was serving a life sentence for killing his two-year-old stepdaughter Lola James when he was attacked.

Attack Details

The footage shows Mark Fellows, known as "The Iceman", along with Lee Newell and David Taylor, following Bevan into his cell before stabbing him 25 times. After the murder, they tucked him into bed to make it appear as though he was asleep. His body was not discovered until the following morning, hours after his death.

Sentencing

During a hearing at Leeds Crown Court on Friday, Fellows, 45; Taylor, 64; and Newell, 57; were each handed whole life orders for Bevan's murder. Fellows had previously killed gangland figures Paul Massey and John Kinsella, while Newell had murdered child killer Subhan Anwar in another prison. Taylor admitted murdering Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin, whose body has never been found.

The Crown Prosecution Service released the CCTV footage after sentencing. It captures the three men laughing and joking before the attack. Fellows is seen wearing blue plastic gloves in the video.

Court Remarks

Sentencing the trio, Mrs Justice McGowan stated that each took weapons to the cell and cornered Bevan, with at least two holding his arms as he was stabbed. "He was left to bleed to death - his last moments must have been terrifying," she said. She also noted that it was outside her experience to sentence someone for a third murder, as was the case for two of the defendants.

Fellows and Newell were already serving whole life orders, meaning they must spend the rest of their lives in prison. The new whole life orders for Bevan's murder ensure they will never be released.
