The Premier League 2026/27 season will kick off on Friday, August 21, 2026, with all 20 teams playing across the opening weekend through Monday, August 24. Title holders Arsenal begin their campaign at home against Championship winners Coventry City at 8pm on Friday, August 22.

Newly-promoted Hull City face a tough test against Manchester City on Saturday, August 22 at 12.30pm. Several clubs have new managers: Manchester City is now led by Enzo Maresca, Liverpool by Andoni Iraola, and Chelsea by Xabi Alonso.
How to Watch on TV
Sky Sports remains the primary UK broadcaster, airing at least 215 live Premier League matches this season. Six opening weekend games are on Sky, including Arsenal vs Coventry, Manchester City vs Bournemouth, and Newcastle vs Liverpool. A Sky Sports subscription is required, available via the Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle at £44 per month, which also includes Netflix, HBO Max, and Disney+.
