A man in his 30s has tragically died following a serious multi-vehicle collision on the M20, a key motorway route into London.
Details of the Collision
The incident occurred on the morning of Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at approximately 8:27am. According to Kent Police, the crash involved three vehicles: a white Mercedes lorry, a black Nissan Qashqai, and a white Scania articulated lorry.
All three were travelling on the London-bound carriageway between Junctions 9 and 8 in Kent. Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance crews, rushed to the scene. An air ambulance also attended, landing on the opposite side of the busy motorway.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Tragically, the driver of the Nissan Qashqai, a man in his 30s, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Kent Police have confirmed that his next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the Mercedes lorry sustained serious injuries and required airlifting to a London hospital for emergency treatment. The condition of the Scania lorry driver has not been specified.
Road Closures and Police Appeal
The serious collision led to significant disruption for travellers. All three lanes on the M20 westbound were closed for several hours to allow for emergency response and initial investigation work. The road has since fully reopened to traffic.
Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has launched a full inquiry into the circumstances of the crash. Investigators are now urgently appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward with information.
