A popular motorbike influencer posted a chilling final message on social media just hours before she was killed in a horrific traffic collision in Colombia.
The Final, Fatal Ride
Karen Sofía Quiroz Ramírez, a 25-year-old known online as 'Bikegirl', died on Wednesday after losing control of her motorcycle in Floridablanca. Authorities report she struck a lorry and was then run over by another heavy goods vehicle as she lay on the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The influencer, who had amassed around 40,000 followers on Instagram, built her platform by sharing content about risky driving manoeuvres, bike maintenance, and her daily life as a motorcyclist. In a tragic twist, a post she made on the day of the accident has since resurfaced, appearing to foreshadow the tragedy.
A Chilling Premonition on Social Media
According to the Brazilian news outlet Metropoles, Karen Sofía wrote in her final social media update: "I'm hoping I don’t crash, because I’m riding without my glasses." This haunting message was shared mere hours before the fatal incident.
Colombian transport official Jahir Andre stated that it is believed she was caught "between two vehicles" while lane splitting—the practice of driving a motorcycle between lanes of slow-moving or stationary traffic. An investigation into the precise circumstances of her death has been opened.
"The Prosecutor’s Office will proceed to clearly and precisely determine the cause of this fatal traffic accident," Andre said. "We will carry out the corresponding investigations, conduct the respective interviews with witnesses, and analyse the CCTV footage."
An Outpouring of Tributes
Her Instagram page, which recently featured videos of her washing a brightly coloured bike and dancing while riding, has been flooded with heartfelt messages from devastated fans. Followers expressed their grief with comments such as "RIP beautiful women biker" and "Ride on in paradise."
This tragic incident follows the recent death of a Russian fitness influencer, Dmitry Nuyanzin, who also shared an ominous final post days before he was found dead, highlighting a disturbing pattern of social media foreshadowing.
