A night of celebration for a young woman who had just landed her dream job ended in unimaginable tragedy when a car crash in County Louth claimed the lives of five friends. The fatal collision occurred on the L3168 at Gibstown, near Dundalk, shortly after 9pm last night.
The five young adults who lost their lives have been named by authorities. They are Chloe McGee, 23, and Shay Duffy, 21, both from Carrickmacross; Alan McCluskey, 23, and Dillon Commins, 23, both from Drumconrath; and 21-year-old Chloe Hipson from Lanarkshire in Scotland.
