Fiat has dramatically lowered the cost of entry into electric vehicle ownership with the introduction of a new, cheaper version of its all-electric Grande Panda. The new Pop trim level brings the starting price for the cool-looking supermini to below the significant £20,000 barrier.
A More Accessible Electric Panda
The fully electric Fiat Grande Panda now has a new entry point. The Pop model replaces the previous (RED) edition, aligning the EV range with its hybrid counterparts. The official on-the-road price for the new Pop is £20,995. However, with the application of Fiat's own E-Grant of £1,500, the cost to the customer drops to an enticing £19,495.
Fiat states that the Pop trim retains much of the visual charm of the model it replaces. The exterior maintains a rugged character, featuring distinctive 16-inch white steel wheels and eye-catching LED lighting at the front and rear.
Surprising Kit for an Entry-Level Model
Despite its position as the most affordable version, the Grande Panda Pop comes generously equipped. The interior introduces new two-tone black and blue fabric seats with 'Panda' lettering, complemented by translucent cabin details inspired by Fiat's famous Lingotto test track.
The technology offering is impressive for a budget-friendly EV. It includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other key features comprise electrically adjustable and heated mirrors, an electric parking brake, rear parking sensors, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and a second upper dashboard glovebox.
Market Impact and Future Expectations
This price-focused move comes as Fiat prepares the Grande Panda to enter an increasingly competitive small EV market in the UK in early 2026. The brand's emphasis on value will be crucial for its success.
Pricing for the full electric Grande Panda range now starts at £20,995 for the Pop, rises to £21,995 for the Icon, and reaches £24,035 for the range-topping La Prima. All three fully electric versions qualify for the Fiat E-Grant. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the Panda will also qualify for the government's £1,500 Electric Car Grant upon its launch next year, a benefit already extended to other models from the Stellantis group that use the same technology.
In a nod to its charitable efforts, Fiat also announced that all Grande Panda models ordered in the brand's signature red colour will feature special (RED) badging on the B-pillars. This celebrates the fourth anniversary of Fiat's global partnership with (RED), which supports projects fighting global health emergencies.
