A new global study has revealed which cities offer the most opulent lifestyle for the world's wealthy, with the French capital, Paris, taking the prestigious top spot.
The Metrics of Opulence: How the Ranking Was Decided
The research, conducted by crypto casino JB, analysed urban centres based on six key wealth and lifestyle indicators. These were combined to create a comprehensive 'Luxury Score'. The factors scrutinised included the density of millionaires and billionaires relative to the population, the concentration of fine dining restaurants, five-star hotels, luxury retail stores, and casinos per square kilometre.
Paris emerged as the undisputed leader, a result underpinned by its unparalleled offering of premium amenities. The city boasts a staggering 834 fine dining restaurants per 100 km², the highest density in the study. It is also home to 142 five-star hotels and 10 casinos within the same area, cementing its reputation as a premier destination for glamour and sophistication.
The Global Top 10 for a Lavish Lifestyle
Melbourne secured a strong second place, distinguished by its community of 94,000 millionaires. The Australian city provides this affluent population with over 100 elite restaurants, 125 first-class hotels, and 143 luxury stores, ensuring ample choice for high-end leisure and shopping.
In third place, Zurich stands out as a global wealth management hub. Its claim to fame is the remarkable statistic that nearly one in five residents is a millionaire. The city caters to this wealthy demographic with around 150 high-end culinary establishments.
The ranking continues with Miami in fourth, which rivals Paris in millionaire concentration and surpasses it in billionaires per capita, with 37. Milan, the Italian fashion capital, takes fifth, offering 193 upscale restaurants to its concentrated community of 82,000 millionaires.

London's Place in the Luxury Landscape
Completing the top tier, London reaffirms its status as a major centre of global wealth. The data highlights that approximately 2,200 out of every 100,000 residents in London are millionaires. While the UK capital possesses the deep-rooted financial clout and luxury infrastructure expected of a world city, this study places its overall luxury offering just behind Asian hubs like Singapore and Seoul in this particular analysis.
The findings paint a clear picture of where wealth and luxury amenities are most densely concentrated globally, offering a definitive guide for those seeking the pinnacle of a high-end urban lifestyle.
