The Hoppings is officially back on Newcastle's Town Moor, drawing thousands of thrillseekers for its 10-day run starting Friday, June 19. The annual funfair promises a mix of traditional and high-octane rides, sideshows, and family-friendly attractions.
What's New This Year?
The standout addition is Elevate85, described as the world's tallest travelling ride. This 85-metre high star-flyer ride debuted in Berlin last year and is now making its Hoppings debut, offering stunning city views from the top. Owner Ryan Crow of Crow Events brings this towering attraction to Newcastle for the first time.
Rides and Attractions
With over 400 attractions, there is something for everyone. The Giant Wheel returns to a prime spot, alongside favourites like Drop Tower, Tagada, Atmosfear, Extreme, Exciter, Air, and Ice Jet. Traditional fairground rides include the ghost train, dodgems, waltzer, carousel, and helter skelter. Younger visitors can enjoy a mini train, teacups, and bungees.
