Charity Shop Hunter Finds Designer Bargains in Affluent London Areas

A TikTok user known as Lills, posting under @lileviex, has revealed the luxury bargains she discovered while charity shop shopping in affluent London neighbourhoods. She visited areas including Balham, Clapham, Chelsea, and Battersea, where she found high-end brands at significantly reduced prices.

Among her finds were gold Chanel sandals priced at £450 in a charity shop, compared to £1,026 on Vestaire Collective. She also spotted a House of CB dress for £65, retailing at around £189, and a Lululemon sports bra for just £5, typically costing £40 new. Other discoveries included a Diesel bag, Burberry and Paco Rabanne gym wear, and plenty of Juicy Couture.

Lills noted that while prices were higher than in typical charity shops due to the brands, they were still a steal compared to retail. She expressed disappointment when staff refused to let her view three unpriced House of CB dresses. She also commented that if prices could be lowered, the experience would be perfect, though she acknowledged shops need to make a profit.

The Royal Trinity Hospice in Clapham Junction was where she found the Chanel shoes, though they may have already sold. Charity shops in wealthy areas often receive gently used, high-quality donations, offering shoppers nearly new items at a fraction of the cost while supporting charitable causes.
