Two Liverpool markets return this weekend with crafts and tours

Two markets will return to Liverpool this weekend. Shoppers will be able to pick up a range of handcrafted goods, while enjoying areas with local independent shops and beautiful scenery.

Allerton Road Market

Allerton Road Market, a monthly pop-up farmers and craft market situated right in the heart of Allerton Road's main shopping area, will be held on Saturday, August 15. The market returns as part of a regular programme which sees it held on the third Saturday of each month throughout the year.

The market runs from 9am to 2pm and houses a variety of produce including cheese, chocolate, art and handmade crafts. It can be found at Garthdale Road, off Allerton Road (next to Barclays Bank), L18 2DH.

With plenty of traders at the market itself, it is also complemented by a wide array of independent shops, cafés and restaurants that make Allerton Road a popular place to visit.

Croxteth Hall Heritage Market

On Sunday (August 16) a Heritage market will be held at Croxteth Hall giving a unique opportunity to step inside one of Liverpool's most treasured historic buildings. The Heritage Market will feature a wide range of products from local independent businesses, including handmade crafts, jewellery, artwork, artisan food, and more.

The market will take place between 11am and 4pm, with a further date being held on September 13. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour of the magnificent hall while browsing a vibrant outdoor market featuring around 40 independent traders. A smaller selection of stalls will also be located inside the hall on the ground floor of the historic venue.

Entry and Facilities

Entry to the market is free. Ticket prices for the tours are £5 for adults and £2 for children. Visitors can also visit at Café 1575, which will be open from 11am to 4pm. Located in The Library, the café is dog-friendly and offers a selection of coffees, cakes and lunch options.

The nearest public car park is located at L11 1EH, while accessible parking is available in the Conference Car Park via the Flint Drive entrance (L12 0HB).
