MoneySavingExpert.com has highlighted an easy access Cash ISA with the "top" rates for new money. Easy access Cash ISAs are savings accounts that offer tax-free benefits, as unlike a regular savings account you don't pay tax on the interest you build up - though they do also typically come with few restrictions on withdrawals.
Plum leads for new deposits
MSE, the personal finance platform founded by money-saving guru Martin Lewis, identified what it deems to be some of the best options on the market at the moment, including one from Plum that's particularly good if you're looking to put new money in rather than transfer existing ISAs over.
The website says in these circumstances it would go for Plum's Easy-access cash ISAs which has a 4.6% AER for those opening an account and depositing new money in. The fintech firm's website explains that the rate from October 2, 2026, includes "a Plum bonus of 2.06% AER (variable) if kept for 12 consecutive months and other conditions are met".
"After 12 months, the rate will be 2.54% AER (variable). The transfer-in rate is 3.75% AER (variable) which includes a bonus rate of 1.21% AER (variable). Interest on our Cash ISA varies."
Other top options
The bonus rate is for transfers in, MSE explains, so you'll only get the 3.75% if you transfer over funds from existing ISAs. Plum pays a lower bonus rate of 1.21% on transfers in, meaning you'll get a lower overall rate of 3.75% on money from existing ISAs.
You can deposit up to £20,000 a year across any ISAs you have (in line with the current rules for 2026/27).
MSE also highlighted Moneybox's easy access Cash ISA as a good option for transfers, with a 4.58% on both money transferred across and new money (this includes a 3.45% variable base rate and a 1.13% bonus for new customers for a year).
More market-leading rates
They're just two examples of the top options on the market, most of which pay out monthly. Trading 212 Cash ISA Promo Rate also has a 4.6% AER (including a 1.00% bonus added for new money for 12 months for new customers who sign up through moneyfactscompare.co.uk).
Hargreaves Lansdown's HL ISA (powered by Shawbrook) via Hargreaves Lansdown Active Savings has an AER of 4.52% paid at £1, with no bonus included also paid out monthly.
With this account, you can't transfer an ISA straight in, but you can put the funds in their HL Stocks & Shares ISA and move them into the easy access Cash ISA from there.
