Sephora Opens First Irish Store in Belfast, 13th UK Location
Sephora Belfast Store Opens February 12

The iconic beauty retailer Sephora has confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated store in Belfast, marking a significant expansion of its UK footprint. The new outlet will open its doors on February 12, 2026 at Victoria Square, becoming the brand's first venture onto the island of Ireland and its 13th location in the United Kingdom.

A Beauty Haven for Belfast

This debut in Northern Ireland's capital introduces a substantial 2,550 sq ft beauty destination right in the heart of Belfast's main shopping district. The opening represents Sephora UK's first new store of 2026 and continues the brand's aggressive expansion strategy since its return to the British market.

Sephora's comeback to the UK in 2023, after an 18-year absence following its 2005 exit, has been met with remarkable success. A company spokesperson stated, “We could not have asked for a stronger return to the UK.” The brand, owned by the French luxury conglomerate LVMH, initially reopened with two London shops and has since grown rapidly.

Grand Opening Celebrations and Future Plans

The Belfast launch will follow the brand's signature formula for major openings, which has become a cultural phenomenon. Shoppers can expect entertainment from local talent, curated queue experiences, and treats from popular local food vendors during the 'pure beaut' grand opening event.

As a special promotion, customers making any purchase from February 12 to 15 will receive a 'Beauty Bonus Card' offering chances to win instant prizes. These include full-sized products, exclusive discounts, Sephora merchandise, and the coveted Sephora goodie bags.

The Belfast store will offer the full Sephora experience, featuring a vast array of globally recognised brands. Shoppers can explore cult favourites, indie icons, and the Sephora Collection own-brand range. The store will also showcase exclusive 'Only At Sephora' brands like rhode, Haus Labs, and Makeup By Mario, alongside TikTok-viral products from names such as Rare Beauty and Sol de Janeiro on a dedicated 'Hot on Social' table.

Rapid Expansion Across the UK

The Belfast announcement follows a busy 2025 for Sephora UK, which saw five new stores open in locations including Liverpool One, Sheffield Meadowhall, Manchester Arndale, Cardiff St David's, and Oxford Westgate. The brand has publicly stated its ambition to operate 20 stores across the UK by the end of 2026.

Following the Belfast launch, the next confirmed opening will be in Bristol, with a store at Cabot Circus scheduled to open later in the spring of 2026.

Greg Silverman, global director of brand economics at Interbrand, previously highlighted Sephora's unique position, calling it the “mothership of the modern-day beauty industry” that successfully blends luxury appeal with accessible pricing.
