The Perfume Shop is offering customers a 15% discount on any fragrance when they return an empty perfume bottle to one of its stores. The retailer announced the promotion on its TikTok account, encouraging shoppers to recycle their old bottles to save money and help the environment.
Once a bottle is handed in, the store will recycle it and provide a discount code for a future purchase, either in-store or online. For each bottle returned, The Perfume Shop will also plant a tree in partnership with Veritree, a company focused on restoring landscapes and supporting local communities.
“As part of our bottle recycling service, we have partnered with Veritree, working towards a sustainable future by restoring critical landscapes which help the planet to thrive,” the shop states on its website. “We pledge to plant a tree for every perfume bottle a customer brings back to be recycled with us.”
The retailer also promotes refillable perfume options as a way to reduce waste, highlighting scents such as Dior Sauvage, YSL MYSLF, and Lancôme La Vie Est Belle. Customers are encouraged to refill their existing bottles rather than buying new ones.
