Morrisons £20 Free Christmas Bonus: Time Running Out

Shoppers at Morrisons have a limited-time opportunity to receive a generous £20 bonus to help with their festive spending, but they must act quickly to secure the offer.

How to Claim Your £20 Christmas Bonus

The supermarket giant has confirmed its Merry More Points scheme is available to thousands of customers who hold a Morrisons More Card. To qualify for the £20 worth of More Points, shoppers need to meet a specific spending pattern.

Participants must spend £50 or more in four out of the five calendar weeks leading up to Sunday, December 14. This applies to any type of shop, whether it's a big weekly grocery haul or multiple smaller trips, as long as the total weekly spend reaches the £50 threshold.

Activation is Key for Eligibility

Morrisons has emphasised that simply spending the money is not enough. For the transaction to count towards the reward, customers must ensure they have activated the offer.

If you use the digital Morrisons More App, you need to activate the Merry More Points within the application. Those with a physical More Card were required to scan their activation coupon by Sunday, November 9 to participate.

The retailer stated that the scheme is open to every More Card customer, meaning millions of shoppers are potentially eligible for this festive financial boost.

More Festive Surprises and Perks

Beyond the £20 bonus, Morrisons is rolling out additional Christmas incentives. Throughout December, customers can unlock a weekly Christmas surprise each time they shop. These surprises could include extra More Points, free festive treats, money-off coupons, or even the chance to win their entire Christmas shop.

The standard loyalty programme also continues to run. Cardholders earn five More Points for every item purchased and receive a Morrisons ‘Fiver’ voucher for every 5,000 points collected, redeemable both in-store and online. Customers also have the option to donate their accumulated points to the charity Marie Curie.

Gareth Lloyd, Director of Loyalty at Morrisons, commented on the initiative: “We know Christmas can be an expensive time for many families, so we wanted to give our loyal customers a little extra help in the run-up to the big day. By making it easier to earn More Points, our Merry More Points scheme rewards customers simply for doing their regular shop.”

This festive promotion coincides with the launch of Morrisons' National Mince Pie Day on Saturday, November 22, where the supermarket gave away 50,000 of its Rich & Fruity mince pies for free in selected stores, including gluten-free options.
