High street bakery giant Greggs has launched its first-ever official Christmas card collection, and it comes with a tasty twist. In a festive partnership with online card retailer Moonpig, the new range includes a voucher for a free sausage roll, offering a savoury surprise alongside seasonal greetings.

The collection, dubbed the 'Ultimate Secret Santa Surprise', features a clever design with heat-activated ink. When warmed, the card reveals a unique code that can be redeemed for a free sausage roll or vegan sausage roll at any of Greggs' 2,675 UK shops. This innovative card is priced at £3.95.
Customers have a wide selection to choose from, with prices starting from just 99p for a digital e-card that can be sent instantly. For those preferring a physical card, options begin at £3.99, scaling up to a large A4 card for £6.99 and a near A3-sized giant card for £9.99. All cards are exclusively available through Moonpig's website.
Personalisation and Fan Reactions
A key selling point of the range is the ability to personalise certain designs. One standout option allows senders to incorporate a loved one's face into an image of a sausage roll, creating a humorous and unique festive message. All cards can be printed with a custom message inside, eliminating the need for handwriting.
Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, stated the collaboration was about bringing smiles, saying the cards offer "a fun way to say 'Merry Christmas'... and yes, there's a free sausage roll in it too." Moonpig's UK Marketing Director, Rachael Halliday, added that the partnership provides a "fun, thoughtful and easy way to show they care."
While other retailers like Funky Pigeon and Snapfish also offer personalised cards, the Greggs range with the free sausage roll voucher is a Moonpig exclusive. As of December 1, no direct customer reviews for these specific cards are available on Moonpig's site, but the company itself holds a range of five-star reviews on Trustpilot.
Moonpig confirms that the sausage roll voucher will be emailed to the purchaser within two days of receiving the card. For those buying multiple cards, separate emails with up to three vouchers will be sent, making them ideal for Secret Santa gifts.
