The most anticipated Christmas toys for 2025 have been officially revealed, with singing witch dolls, grave-digging monster trucks and shimmering slime predicted to top children's wish lists this festive season.
The DreamToys Selection Process
Industry experts and independent toy retailers have compiled the prestigious DreamToys list, featuring 15 toys expected to be in highest demand during the Christmas period. The selection panel, chaired by Paul Reader from the Toy Retailers Association, ensures all chosen products will remain widely available until Christmas.
"We exclude any supplier exclusives or products that are only available in selected retailers," Reader explains. "It's really important that when we select what we believe to be the hottest toys at Christmas, they're in general distribution - so you can be anywhere from Land's End to John O' Groats and you should have access to all the products on our list."
Affordable Christmas Cheer
The price range caters to different budgets, with the most affordable item being the £12.99 Dress To Impress Mystery Model Dolls and the most expensive at £120 for the Lego One Piece Going Merry Pirate Ship.
Reader emphasises the panel's awareness of current financial pressures: "Two-thirds of the products are under £50. We're very conscious when we put the list together that it's still challenging out there as a parent or a grandparent. Christmas is very special, and you want the kids to have a really enjoyable experience, but it's got to be affordable."
