The shocking incident occurred at the Victoria Plaza on Victoria Avenue in Chatswood on Tuesday afternoon. Video evidence shows a white SUV suddenly mounting the pavement and speeding directly through the outdoor dining and pedestrian area.
Shoppers can be seen fleeing in panic as the vehicle, seemingly out of control, heads straight for them. The car narrowly misses several people before colliding with a row of abandoned shopping trolleys, which scatter and crumple under the impact.
