Bargain hunters across the United Kingdom are in for a treat as discount giant B&M launches what it claims is its biggest ever reduced-to-clear sale event. With prices plunging to as little as 10p, the retailer is promising massive savings on a vast array of products, from popular toys to everyday household essentials.
Phased Rollout of Massive Discounts
The colossal clearance event is being rolled out in distinct phases across different product categories. The first wave, focusing on toys, went live on December 30, offering deep discounts on playtime favourites. Shoppers looking to refresh their homes should mark January 6 in their diaries, as this is when the home section clearance begins.
The savings continue into the new year with a dedicated sale on Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). Starting January 13, this phase will cover everyday items that sell quickly, such as food, drinks, toiletries, and cleaning supplies from well-known brands. The final phase, launching January 30, will bring further markdowns across homeware, electricals, and furniture.
What Shoppers Can Find in Stores
The range of discounted goods is exceptionally broad. Parents can look for savings on kids' favourites like Bluey, Hello Kitty, and Harry Potter merchandise. Kitchen cupboards can be stocked with reduced-price items from household names including Nescafé, Heinz, and Coca-Cola.
The event also features household and cleaning essentials from brands like Lenor and Zoflora, alongside selected health and beauty lines from John Frieda, Aussie, and Gillette. With additional reductions on clearance lines already in stores, the potential for finding a hidden gem is significant.
Key Details for Savvy Shoppers
A spokesperson for B&M emphasised the scale and limited nature of the sale, stating it features the company's "biggest reductions ever". They added a crucial caveat for bargain hunters: "All Reduced to Clear lines are available while stocks last... Once they're gone, they won't be restocked."
Shoppers should note that the most significant reductions are primarily found in physical stores rather than online. Stock and available ranges will vary from store to store across the more than 760 B&M locations in the UK, making frequent visits a good strategy for uncovering new deals.
Customers can use the B&M app's built-in barcode scanner to check in-store prices. If the app displays a lower price than the shelf label, the till will automatically charge the lower amount.
