Mondelez International has launched a new Cadbury Biscoff Filled Egg, giving the classic Creme Egg some competition this Easter. The egg, which features a centre of Lotus Biscoff spread and crunchy biscuit pieces, is now appearing on shelves at Iceland and other major retailers.
Prices vary by store: a single egg costs 70p at Asda, while a pack of three is £2.07 at Asda, £2.05 at Lidl, and £3.50 (or £2.50 with a More Card) at Morrisons. The egg weighs 32g, slightly less than the traditional 40g Creme Egg.
Social media users have been enthusiastic, with one calling them “absolutely banging” and another declaring they “must find these this weekend”. The product follows the success of last year's Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscoff bar and advent calendar.
Other retailers stocking the eggs include Tesco, B&M, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Amazon, and the Cadbury Gifts website. Additionally, a larger Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscoff Inclusions egg is available at Iceland for £13, containing eight wrapped Biscoff chunks.
