As the festive season approaches, supermarkets across the UK have unveiled their Christmas food ranges for 2025, offering everything from playful novelties to gourmet centrepieces. Waitrose introduces a 'turkey bauble', Sainsbury's gives sticky toffee pudding a festive twist, and Tesco offers chocolate and gingerbread s'mores tarts. M&S has launched a Christmas-themed Colin the Caterpillar, while most stores remain well-stocked for last-minute shoppers.
Sainsbury's offers a fresh turkey thigh joint with pork, plum and prune stuffing (£14.50), Irish coffee tira-merry-su (£12), and starters like mini wagyu beef cheeseburgers (£6) and crispy miso mushroom tartlets (£5.50). Mains include slow cooked smoky gammon shanks (£6.50) and a beef wellington (£45). A Christmas dinner in a box (£50) includes all trimmings.
Waitrose features Rick Stein's lobster and king prawn velouté pie (£70), slow cooked turkey crown (£50), and No.1 stuffed Scottish salmon with prawns and salsa verde (£50). Vegetarian options include a mushroom, malbec and port wellington (£8.50) and festive five nut roast (£8.50). Desserts range from a Christmas chocolate yule log (£8) to a chocolate ganache torte (£14).
M&S's festive food is highly anticipated, though ordering has now closed. Tesco, Asda and The Co-op also offer extensive ranges. For budget-conscious shoppers, one supermarket allows a full Christmas dinner for just £20. To complete the meal, best mince pies, mulled wine, whiskies and champagne have been rounded up.
