Aldi's Wooden Toy Range Returns May 17, Set to Sell Out Fast
Aldi Wooden Toy Range Returns May 17, Sellout Expected

Aldi’s limited-edition wooden toy range is making a comeback next month, and given its past popularity, it is expected to sell out rapidly. The budget supermarket’s ‘specialbuys’ often fly off the shelves, from cookware and vacuums to solar panels, but the toy line has been so sought after that shoppers were previously restricted to two toys per child. This new drop, landing on Sunday, 17 May, is anticipated to be just as frenzied.

What’s in the New Range?

The collection includes wooden toy kitchens, easels, sand pits, and more, all priced under £35. New for 2026 is a wooden outdoor BBQ (£24.99) that comes with barbecuing tools and a grill hood, and can be paired with separately sold BBQ food accessories (£9.99). A mud kitchen (£34.99) features a bread oven, washing up rack, double burner stove top, and utensil holders, with a set of mud kitchen accessories (£9.99) available—including stainless steel or wooden pots, bowls, a baking set, and a veggie prep set.

Creative Play Options

Also new is a wooden shop front (£29.99), which can be combined with a shop front and role play set accessories (£14.99). These accessories allow children to pretend they are running a coffee shop, florist, village shop, post office, theatre, or vet clinic. Other items include a wooden easel for artists, a table and chairs, a bookshelf, and a picnic play bench.

Past Hype and How to Buy

In previous years, shoppers queued early in the morning to secure their sets, and TikTok videos went viral showing hauls of Aldi wooden toys and crowded stores with trolleys piled high. To get your hands on the new line, mark 17 May in your diary and head to your local Aldi store. With everything under £35, this range is sure to be a hit for parents seeking affordable, creative toys.
