Craig Revel Horwood was close to tears during Saturday night's episode of Strictly Come Dancing as one celebrity's performance reminded him of the late Len Goodman.
The BBC show returned for its third week as the celebrities and their professional partners performed on the dancefloor. Canine expert Graeme Hall and his partner Laura Oakley danced a jive to Reet Petite by Jackie Wilson.
Emotional moment on the dancefloor
While receiving feedback from the judges, Craig fought back tears as he said Graeme reminded him of Len Goodman, which "brought back memories" and made him "a bit emosh".
Craig remarked: "I did feel like I was watching dear Len Goodman, darling. It brought back some memories. I got a bit emosh there. I'm not going to cry."
Graeme Hall's difficult week
The 59-year-old dog trainer then spoke to presenter Johannes Radebe, who asked: "That was a jam-packed Jive but you called it a beast. Why was that?"
Looking towards Lauren, Graeme responded: "I was scared to death of that on Wednesday, wasn't I?" with the dancer agreeing. Fighting back tears, he went on: "I had a bit of a meltdown Wednesday. I didn't think I'd be doing that but we did it."
Offering encouragement, Lauren remarked: "You did it. You got through it. I've challenged him this week. It was tough at times but I can see we'll learn from it and we'll move forward. You've kind of fought through this week and you've been amazing so thank you."
Judges' scores and Len Goodman's legacy
Craig, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas awarded them six points out of 10, while Anton Du Beke gave them seven, bringing the total to 25 out of 40.
Len Goodman died aged 78 less than a year after he retired from the BBC show in 2022. The beloved ballroom champion and longtime judge on Dancing with the Stars and Strictly Come Dancing died of bone cancer, surrounded by his loved ones at a hospice in Kent, England.
Strictly Come Dancing Results airs tonight on BBC One at 7.10pm.
