William and Kate's Secret Palace Code Names Revealed

A former royal gardener has revealed the secret code names used by the Prince and Princess of Wales and Prince Harry on messaging apps. Jack Stooks, who worked as a gardener for King Charles for 21 years, told GB News that William and Catherine used nicknames when communicating with staff via WhatsApp.

Nicknames Behind Palace Walls

Mr Stooks explained that staff could not save the royals under their real names, so nicknames were used instead. He said: "William was 'Bobcat', Harry was 'Baz,' and when Catherine joined the family, she became 'Mrs. Bobcat.'"

He also recalled that Prince William and Prince Harry always had the latest phones. "They actually gave their numbers out to staff so we could contact them about logistical things. They also had our numbers, and they would just WhatsApp us if they needed anything," he told GB News.

Security Measures for Phone Contacts

Speaking on behalf of OLBG, the ex-royal gardener told Fox News that only selected members of staff were given the royals' phone numbers. He said: "We had the family under different names, so that if anyone's phone was taken, the number could be differentiated. That way, no one knew which number was which. They all change their numbers regularly, so I don't have any of their phone numbers now."

He also shared the nickname he personally used for Prince Harry: "The nickname I gave to Harry on my phone was Baz. He was always called 'Baz' by his friends, so I just took that. From memory, William was 'Wombat,' again because that is what his friends called him."
