Hjerto Dahl avoids Rangers transfer question, Tromso stance firm

Tromso sporting director Lars Petter Kraemer-Andressen has insisted that no deal has been agreed for Jens Hjerto-Dahl to leave the club amid interest from Rangers and Cardiff City. The player was put on the spot about a move to Ibrox, having previously named the club as his preferred destination.

Bidding Battle Intensifies

Rangers had been battling Besiktas for the player's signature, with reports in Norway suggesting that the Glasgow giants have seen a £5.3million bid rejected. Cardiff then entered the race this week, with the Welsh side seeing a £5.5million bid turned down. Reports south of the border indicate Cardiff are ready to ramp up their offer.

Record Sport understands a move to Ibrox is on the brink of collapsing in favour of a switch to the English Championship, with Rangers pushing forward with a deal for Partizan Belgrade captain Vanja Dragojevic. However, the door remains open for Derek McInnes' side, with the Tromso chief confirming that no deal is over the line yet.

Kraemer-Andressen told Nordlys: "He hasn't been sold yet, and the price isn't exactly going down at the moment." Reports in Norway suggest that Tromso are holding out for a mammoth £8.5million payday for the playmaker.

Player's Stance

After scoring in Tromso's 4-1 away win against HamKam, Hjerto-Dahl was directly addressed about a move to Rangers. He said: "I can't bear to go into it too much, I try to keep my focus on Tromso, that's what works for me." Asked about rising speculation, the 20-year-old added: "The apparatus around me takes care of the rumours and the other things around. What works for me is going into matches with full focus on what I'm going to do."

Raskin Interest Grows

Interest is rising in Nico Raskin this summer after impressive performances for Belgium in their run to the World Cup quarter-final. Reports in Spain suggest that Villarreal are inching closer to a deal, while Record Sport understands Real Betis have still to hit Rangers’ valuation of the player amid growing interest.

Tutto Mercato Web report that Inter have inquired about a deal and have been told that a fee in the region of £22million would seal a deal — an increased valuation amid rising interest. Raskin's Ibrox contract still has another two years left to run, and Rangers could look to cash in to maximise profit for the ex-Standard Liege star.
