Mohamed Salah has played his last game for Liverpool but will be fit for the World Cup, according to Egypt's national team director Ibrahim Hassan.
Salah went off injured during Liverpool's win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, with fears the issue would be season-ending. The Reds are yet to update their supporters on the state of their Egyptian star, who is leaving this summer after nine years at Anfield.
It now appears Salah will be denied a proper on-the-field farewell, with his hamstring injury apparently diagnosed as a tear that will see him miss all of Liverpool's matches in May.
Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan told Reuters: 'He has suffered a hamstring tear and will require four weeks of treatment.'
