Marcus Rashford has been advised to prioritise his happiness and remain at Barcelona, despite Manchester United's insistence on a £26 million transfer fee. The England international, currently on loan at the Catalan club, has impressed manager Hansi Flick and helped secure the La Liga title with a free-kick in El Clásico.
Barcelona are attempting to negotiate a lower fee, but United have refused to reduce the agreed price. With two years remaining on his contract, Rashford's future remains uncertain as the World Cup summer approaches.
Former Manchester United captain Patrice Evra urged Rashford to stay at Barcelona, saying: 'He should prioritise his football career and enjoy his football in Barcelona. He should stay there.' Evra added that Rashford's happiness is evident in Spain, unlike his final days at Old Trafford.
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour described the £26 million clause as a 'bargain' and suggested Premier League clubs could be interested if Rashford considers a pay cut. 'If you can get the proper Marcus Rashford back, that’s a bargain,' Parlour said.
Rashford joined Barcelona on loan in the summer of 2024 after falling out of favour at Manchester United. The forward has revived his career in Spain, scoring crucial goals and winning the league title.
