Man Utd Set to Sell Rashford, Onana, Ugarte, Zirkzee in Summer Rebuild
Man Utd Put Four Players Up for Sale Ahead of Summer Overhaul

Manchester United are preparing for a transformative summer at Old Trafford, with four first-team players set to be put up for sale as the club aims to raise funds for a significant squad overhaul. Among those likely to depart are academy graduate Marcus Rashford and goalkeeper Andre Onana, both of whom have spent the current season on loan away from the club.

Rashford and Onana on the Way Out

Rashford has been playing for Barcelona this season, with the Spanish club holding an option to make the move permanent. While Barcelona are not expected to trigger that clause, they are reportedly open to extending the loan for another campaign. Onana, meanwhile, has been on loan at Turkish side Trabzonspor, who also have a purchase option. According to The Sun, both players have been told they are free to find new clubs, effectively ending their Manchester United careers.

Ugarte and Zirkzee Also Available

In addition to Rashford and Onana, midfielder Manuel Ugarte and striker Joshua Zirkzee will be made available for transfer. Ugarte joined United from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024 for a fee that could reach £50.5 million, but the club is now willing to accept around £25 million for his departure. Zirkzee, who arrived from Bologna for approximately £35 million two years ago, has struggled at Old Trafford, scoring only nine goals in all competitions across two seasons.

Club officials are scheduled to hold meetings with the representatives of all four players in the coming weeks to finalize their futures. If all depart, it would mark the first phase of a major rebuild under manager Michael Carrick.

Further Departures and Incomings

Other players expected to leave on free transfers include Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia. United are also keen to sign two new midfielders, which could lead to the departure of Toby Collyer after a difficult season, while backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir may also be sold.

Before turning to the transfer market, United must finish the current campaign and decide on their long-term manager. Michael Carrick has guided the team to the brink of Champions League qualification following a 2-1 win over Brentford, with just two points needed to secure their spot in next season's competition.
