Gardeners are praising a £25 weed puller from Amazon, calling it a 'life-saver' for tackling stubborn dandelions and other invasive weeds. The Ormalla Weed Puller, usually priced at £29.99, is currently on sale for £25.49. Its 1.1m bamboo handle allows users to remove weeds without bending, reducing back strain.
The tool features an all-metal claw and pedal. By stepping on the pedal, the claw penetrates the ground and grasps roots, pulling them out completely to prevent regrowth. It works best on wet, soft soil. The device is effective against dandelions, crabgrass, and similar weeds.
Amazon shoppers have left glowing reviews. One user wrote: 'Getting rid of stubborn dandelions has never been that easy! I love it from the first try. Worth every penny.' Another said: 'It saves me time, spares my back from bending over. There’s also a real sense of satisfaction in seeing the weeds come out cleanly, roots and all.' Some noted that it leaves small holes that need filling, but considered this a minor issue.
For those seeking an electric option, the Vonhaus G-Series Cordless Electric Weed Remover is available for £64.99, reduced from £79.99. It uses a motor spinning at 1,200 RPM to remove weeds. Alternatively, B&Q offers a Steel Weed Puller Claw Lawn Weeder for £12.99, which works similarly to the Ormalla model.
