Parents are being alerted to a deal that allows them to effectively obtain a Toniebox character for free. The Paddington Audio Tonie Character, typically priced at £15 at Argos, can be acquired at no cost through a little-known offer.
The deal is available via money-saving website TopCashback, where new members who sign up receive a £15 cashback bonus when they spend £15 at a participating retailer. This means new TopCashback members and both new and existing Argos customers can get the character for free after cashback.
The hand-painted character has a run time of approximately 155 minutes and features stories narrated by Stephen Fry. Customer reviews have been largely positive, with one buyer stating: 'Lovely gift we received. Paddington is a lovely story and ties in well with the TV show. The narrator has a lovely calming voice, so I recommend this one for bedtime.'
Another reviewer commented: 'My 1-year-old loves this one. It’s one of his favourites. The content is very long and there are little jingles in between chapters he likes.' A third added: 'Bought as a birthday gift and made a three-year-old girl very happy!'
However, some buyers noted the story may be more suitable for older children. One parent said: 'I think this is great but I think a little too old for my son who is 3, he's not into the plodding story. But I think he will as he gets older.' Another echoed: 'Bought as a present for my 2-year-old, story is lovely but she’s a bit young but sure she’ll love it as she gets older.'
