Denise van Outen has said Dani Dyer was marked too low for her Rumba on Strictly Come Dancing, after the couple dropped to second bottom of the leaderboard.
Speaking on Monday's It Takes Two (October 19), host Ellie Taylor was joined by guest panelists Neil Jones, Lewis Cope and Denise van Outen to review Saturday's performances. The show followed the exit of Dame Sarah Storey, who was eliminated on Sunday after receiving the fewest public votes.
Panel's verdict on Dani and Nikita's Rumba
Ellie noted that Dani and partner Nikita "only fell two points from last week" but were "second bottom of the leader board which is hard to stomach that isn't it." Lewis described the routine as "nice" and said he "enjoyed it," while Neil remarked that Rumba and Waltz are "one of the hardest dances."
Denise shared her concerns for Dani's confidence, saying: "Do you know what though, I really hope it hasn't knocked Dani's confidence because she was really nervous wasn't she about doing it this week, and I thought it was a lovely dance. I really enjoyed it and I thought she was marked too low really, she should've been scored higher."
Potential finalist predictions
The panel also discussed who could reach the final. Denise praised Tabby and partner Mark, saying: "I'm a huge fan and I actually think we've got a potential finalist here, she's incredible. Every week she just nails it." Lewis agreed, stating "I think we could probably see her in the final too," and Neil added: "I just think she's a talented dancer. She's taking on everything and she does really well."
Asked who they thought would make the final, Neil predicted John, saying the celebrity "could even win it," while Lewis tipped Delta to "go all the way."
Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two airs weeknights from 6.30pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
