Fast food chains across the United States are offering a slew of discounts on Thursday, May 28, in honour of National Burger Day. While May is celebrated as National Burger Month, most deals are available on or just before the day itself. From reduced-price burgers to chances to win free food for a year, there are plenty of ways to join the festivities.
Burger King is marking the day by giving Royal Perks members a free hamburger with any purchase of $3 or more at participating locations. Additionally, members who spend at least $10 will receive four months of Spotify Premium for free.
From May 25 to May 31, Shake Shack customers can get a free Shack Burger when they spend a minimum of $10. The offer can be redeemed using the code FREEBURGER on the Shake Shack app or at in-restaurant kiosks. Customers also have until June 1 to enter the Shake Shack Burger Month Sweepstakes for a chance to win free burgers for a year.
Dairy Queen is offering $1 off any Signature Stackburger until May 31 for new and existing DQ Rewards members via the DQ Mobile App. On Thursday, Checkers will have a Buy One, Get One Free deal on its Classic Burger at participating locations. Sonic Rewards Members can get a free SONIC Smasher or All-American Smasher with a $5 purchase through the Sonic app until May 31.
Whataburger is offering a free signature burger with the purchase of a medium fry and medium drink on May 28 when ordered online or via the app. Rewards members can also enter a giveaway for up to a year's worth of food. Smashburger will offer a single burger for $5.28 on Thursday using the code 528SINGLE on its website or mobile app.
