Halifax and Lloyds to close 17 branches in November

Halifax and Lloyds are set to close a combined total of 17 bank branches in November. The closures follow years of branches ceasing operation as more and more people move towards online banking and other digital services.

Lloyds Banking Group Response

The high street banks, along with Bank of Scotland, are all under Lloyds Banking Group, which reassured customers and said: "We always look to understand the impact on our customers" when making changes to its branch network.

According to the group, it currently has over 10 million app users. It confirmed that customers, regardless of whether they bank with Lloyds, Halifax, or Bank of Scotland, can access services all in one place.
