The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for fog covering 74 areas across the UK, with the alert active from midnight until 10am on Sunday, November 1. The warning was announced at 11.19pm on Saturday, October 31.
Regions and Expected Conditions
The warning applies to parts of the East Midlands, East of England, London and South East England, North West England, South West England, Wales, West Midlands, and Yorkshire and Humber. Dense fog is expected to bring low visibility across these regions.
Driving conditions on Sunday morning are expected to be extremely difficult, with drivers urged to take extra care on the roads. The Met Office forecast stated: "Fog has developed widely and will persist across many areas into Sunday morning before slowly lifting and clearing. Visibility will vary from place to place with some dense fog patches bringing visibility of less than 100 metres making for difficult travel conditions."

The forecaster also warned of delays to bus and train services, as well as a chance of delays or cancellations to flights. The Met Office advised: "Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary.
