Sky Mobile iPhone Duo pre-order deal costs just £2 a day

Apple's first-ever foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, is now available for pre-order across UK retailers from today (October 16). Sky Mobile is offering the device from £47 a month with a £12 upfront fee, paired with a special deal on its 75GB data plan at £14 a month instead of the usual £22. That brings the total to £61 a month, or roughly £2 a day for the first 24 months.

Trade-in savings and storage options

Customers can trade in an old device to potentially reduce the price by up to £535, depending on the model. The deal covers the 256GB version, but shoppers can also choose the 512GB variant at £51.75 a month, the 1TB version at £61 a month, or the 2TB version at £75.25 a month.

Alternatively, EE is offering the iPhone Duo for as low as £44.57 per month, with data options that can be added for as little as £29 a month.

Design and features

The iPhone Duo unfolds in a 'passport-style' format and folds back into a single curved screen. It features a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display with a matte surface to hide creases and reduce glare. Instead of Face ID, it uses Touch ID integrated into the side button.

For those not sold on Apple's offering, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is available on Amazon for £1,769, with 512GB of storage and a more square design.

In announcing the iPhone Duo, John Ternus, Apple's CEO, said: "iPhone Duo is the most transformational change to iPhone since the original. With an entirely new design and intuitive experiences, it shows what's possible when hardware and software are engineered together and redefines what it means to use a foldable phone."

Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo are available on Sky Mobile's website.
