Liverpool have reportedly made an approach for Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, with the Reds set to rival Paris Saint-Germain for the 24-year-old.
Liverpool's interest in Akliouche
Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas has reported that the Reds have made enquiries to Filipe Luis' side over the sought-after winger. PSG have reportedly already seen three bids rejected for the wide-man, the latest said to be in the region of €40million (£34m).
Transfer battle with PSG
Liverpool and PSG, who have eliminated the Reds in the Champions League in each of the last two seasons, have been in battle for wingers this summer. Both clubs set their sights on Yan Diomande, with the Ivorian seemingly deciding to join the Ligue 1 giants.
Knock-on effect on Bradley Barcola
The Reds are said to have outlined PSG winger Bradley Barcola as one of their wide options to reinforce the attacking department following Mohamed Salah's departure. Reports from talkSPORT have claimed that Liverpool will push with a deal for the France international if PSG sign Diomande or Akliouche, but the fresh claims from Sky Sports highlight a potential transfer battle for Akliouche.
