Newcastle United midfielder Lewis Miley has left the England Under-21 camp ahead of the Three Lions' clash with Slovakia.
The Academy star was supposed to be lining up in Stoke against Slovakia but Chronicle Live understands he suffered a knock in training.
Injury not serious
Chronicle Live understands that Miley's injury is NOT serious and the club have a plan for the versatile youngster in place.
Indeed, it is expected that Miley will train next week at the KNOX and rejoin his team-mates. Then Miley should be in contention to face Coventry City on October 12.
Mutual arrangement with FA
Miley was due to stay on with England U21s as they take on Slovakia then the Republic of Ireland in Cork. But a mutual arrangement has taken place between Newcastle and the FA.
Meanwhile, Miley's team-mate Lewis Hall, who starred in the 2-0 win over Czechia on Tuesday, has seen his chances of facing Croatia on Saturday boosted.
An England FA statement read: "An update from the Three Lions camp in Croatia, as Nico O'Reilly returns to Manchester City for further assessment."
