Westlife will perform two sold-out shows at Newcastle's Utilita Arena this weekend, October 3 and 4, as part of their 25th anniversary tour. The Irish boyband returns to the city for back-to-back concerts, and fans can expect a night of their biggest hits.
Stage times and support act
The box office opens at 5pm, with doors at 6pm. The show starts at 6.40pm, with support act Ana Sky taking the stage at 7.25pm. Westlife are scheduled to perform from 8.30pm, with the show expected to end around 10.30pm.
Ana Sky, an American singer/songwriter, supports Westlife on the UK leg of the tour. She recently opened for Jesse McCartney's tour in the US. Her track "Bad Guys" has surpassed 1 million views, and she has 28,000 followers on Instagram. Fans have described her performances at the Westlife gigs as 'phenomenal' and 'incredible.'
Likely setlist for Newcastle
Based on previous tour dates, the likely setlist includes: World of Our Own, Uptown Girl, Bop Bop Baby, What About Now, When You're Looking Like That, What Makes a Man, I Have a Dream, I Lay My Love on You, Starlight, Queen of My Heart, Chariot, Fool Again, If I Let You Go, My Love, Unbreakable, Mandy, Flying Without Wings, Hello My Love, You Raise Me Up, and Swear It Again.
Westlife first topped the UK charts 27 years ago with their debut single "Swear It Again," followed by six more number 1s before their streak ended in 2000. Their hits span albums like "Flying Without Wings," "Fool Again," and "My Love," as well as later successes such as "Hello My Love" and "Starlight." Demand for tickets was so high that a second date was added to the Newcastle run.
