Tommy Fleetwood has explained his visit to LIV Golf's Las Vegas event, which sparked speculation about his future. The Englishman, who began 2024 by defeating Rory McIlroy in Dubai, visited the rebel circuit while in Nevada to see his coach Butch Harmon.
Fleetwood said he wanted to see what a LIV tournament was like, as many in golf discuss it but never attend. He also noted that many friends and former colleagues now work there. Despite the social media frenzy, Fleetwood insisted the visit was innocent and he was not distracted by the rumours.
Regarding the LIV atmosphere, Fleetwood observed that players seemed happy and relaxed, though he was unsure about playing with music. He described it as 'just another golf tournament' with professionals working hard.
Fleetwood now turns his attention to the Masters, where he is considered a strong contender. He will then caddie for his stepson, Oscar Craig, at the Challenge Tour's UAE Challenge after Craig won the Ras Al Khaimah Men's Open in February.
