A woman has recounted a horrifying mid-flight experience, alleging she was sexually assaulted while asleep with her young daughter in her arms. The incident occurred on a flydubai flight from Dubai to Bangkok, where the mother was travelling alone with her four-year-old child.
Beaut Pimpaporn, 33, from Thailand, was returning from Milan, Italy, when she boarded the connecting flight FZ-1583. She had taken sleeping pills, and her daughter napped on her lap during the six-hour journey. She woke to find a passenger allegedly performing a sex act on her, with his hand on her backside and semen on her thigh.
Immediate Aftermath
When she woke, the man withdrew his hand, covered it with his jacket, and pretended to adjust the entertainment screen. Pimpaporn waited until landing to alert cabin crew and file a police report. The flight attendant asked the man if he had committed the act, which he initially denied but later admitted, according to Pimpaporn.
The man then made a scene, crying and begging for forgiveness. His tour group members also tried to intervene, but the flight attendant insisted police be involved. The captain took Pimpaporn's daughter away to shield her from the situation.
Police Involvement and Public Statement
Tourist police and immigration officers removed the man from the flight and took him to a police station. Police Lieutenant Colonel Chamnanyut Konkong of the Don Mueang district station said the suspect was denied entry into Thailand and that mediation would be attempted, as per normal procedure. No charges have been laid so far.
Pimpaporn decided to share her story to raise awareness about the risks faced by solo female travellers. She urged women not to feel embarrassed and to report any wrongdoing. A flydubai spokesperson declined to comment, citing passenger privacy and ongoing investigations, but stressed that safety is a top priority.
