West Ham United have reportedly informed interested clubs that they intend to keep Jarrod Bowen this summer, despite their relegation to the Championship. The 29-year-old England international is under contract until 2030 and is among the club's top earners, with wages exceeding £100,000 per week.
Manchester United are among the Premier League sides understood to be keen on Bowen. However, West Ham are said to require approximately £100 million in player sales following their drop, but they could reach that figure by offloading Crysencio Summerville and Matheus Fernandes while retaining their skipper.
According to The Sun, there is no clause in Bowen's deal to reduce his wages following demotion. Bowen has addressed his future on several occasions since relegation was confirmed, stating in a post-match interview: 'I'm under contract here. There's going to be rumours, there's going to be talk. Ultimately, what I see is getting this club back in the Premier League because that is where it deserves to be.'
Bowen also shared a message on Instagram, apologising to fans and expressing his desire to help the club bounce back. He wrote: 'It's hard to post something like this when all you're feeling is embarrassment and pain. One thing I know about this club is that it has the desire and fight to bounce back from this.'
