Antoine Semenyo 'Annoyed' by Transfer Rumours as Liverpool & Man Utd Interest Grows
Semenyo 'Annoyed' by Man Utd & Liverpool Transfer Talk

Bournemouth's prolific forward Antoine Semenyo has revealed his growing annoyance at persistent transfer speculation connecting him with Premier League giants including Liverpool and Manchester United.

Frustration Mounts for Cherries Star

The Ghana international has enjoyed a spectacular start to the season, netting six Premier League goals for the Cherries, placing him among the division's top scorers behind only Erling Haaland and Igor Thiago. This impressive form has inevitably attracted attention from England's elite clubs.

According to Sky Sports, Semenyo feels 'frustrated' by stories suggesting he is actively seeking a move away from the south coast. The report indicates the player is content at the Vitality Stadium and has not requested a transfer, despite mounting interest.

Staying Present Amid the Noise

When recently questioned about his future by pundit Jamie Redknapp, the 25-year-old emphasised his focus on current performances. 'I don't think about it too much,' Semenyo stated. 'I try to stay present as much as I can. You see the news all the time, I see it as well, I'm not oblivious, but I try to keep focused.'

He added: 'I'm enjoying my football here. If I'm not scoring goals, all of that goes away. I try to stay present, do the best I can for the team, score goals and whatever happens in the future happens.'

Semenyo also reflected on the summer, when several teammates departed, acknowledging there was 'a lot of interest and back and forth with the club' regarding his own situation. However, he expressed faith in manager Andoni Iraola's project, a belief that has been justified by the team's strong performances this campaign.

Summer Interest and Current Form

Following his tally of 13 goals in all competitions last season, Semenyo was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window. Ultimately, the Red Devils secured Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo instead.

Similarly, Tottenham Hotspur, another admirer, opted to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham in a £55 million deal. This left Semenyo at Bournemouth, where he has continued his excellent development.

His fine form this season includes a memorable two-goal performance against Liverpool, further showcasing his talent to potential suitors. Despite the speculation, his commitment to Bournemouth remains clear for now, as the Cherries continue their impressive run in the Premier League.
