Prince William, a lifelong Aston Villa supporter, was seen celebrating with the team after their Europa League final victory over Freiburg in Istanbul. The win marked Villa's first major trophy since 1996 and their first European success since 1982.
Goals from Youri Tielemans and Emi Buendia in the first half, followed by a second-half strike from Morgan Rogers, secured the 3-0 victory. The Prince of Wales was visibly emotional in the stands and later joined the players in the dressing room for post-match celebrations.
Villa full-back Matty Cash confirmed that William was enjoying beers with the squad. 'He deserves moments like these and hopefully he can let his hair down,' Cash said. Captain John McGinn joked that the Prince was welcome to join them as long as he picked up the bill, describing him as 'a classy guy' and 'just a normal guy.'
William was pictured with manager Unai Emery and club director Damian Vidagany, posing with the trophy. He also took to social media to congratulate the team, with a special mention for injured midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
The celebrations continued with family and friends, as Maja Lindelof, wife of Villa defender Victor Lindelof, shared an image of William partying, captioned 'off the rails.' Villa's season also secured a return to the Champions League, with Emery praising his players for their ambition and teamwork.
