American singer Karina Pasian, a former Grammy nominee now based in Madrid, was selected to perform the United States' anthem. While her vocal delivery was praised by some, it was her sartorial choice that dominated the post-match conversation.
Pasian took to the field wearing a short black dress with a plunging cowl neckline, complemented by thigh-high black stockings and garters, and matching elbow-length gloves.
