Everton footballer Jack Grealish embarked on a lavish Christmas celebration with friends last weekend, reportedly spending around £20,000 on a night out that concluded in a London strip club in the early hours of the morning.
From the Pitch to the Party
The 30-year-old midfielder, on loan from Manchester City, had played the full 90 minutes for Everton in their narrow 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal on Saturday. With the team given a day off on Sunday, Grealish seized the opportunity to travel to the capital for a festive gathering.
According to a report, Grealish met up with former Manchester City teammate Kyle Walker during the evening. The pair were first spotted together in the VIP section of Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park before moving on to the upmarket French Mediterranean restaurant Bagatelle in Mayfair.
At the restaurant, the footballers were seen generously buying drinks for other diners. Their paths later diverged, with Walker, 35, reportedly wanting to visit the exclusive club Tape. Grealish and around a dozen other companions had other plans.
A Late-Night Venue in Leicester Square
The group proceeded to the Platinum Lace strip club in Leicester Square. A source close to the party emphasised that Grealish was a "perfect gentleman" during the visit, showing no interest in the lap dances or performers.
"He is in a loving relationship and this was just a venue that was open for some late night drinks," the source stated. The party occupied a back room, ordering hundreds of Jagerbombs at £14 each while dancers performed on tables and sofas.
The celebration continued until after 4am, when the group was politely asked to leave. The final bill at Platinum Lace was said to be £3,500, with Grealish leaving the venue smiling. Some of the party then returned to the Sanderson Hotel, where champagne was ordered to rooms.
Focus Returns to Football
Neither Grealish nor Walker are said to have broken any club rules, and both are expected to be available for their respective teams this weekend. Grealish's focus has now shifted back to football, with Everton set to face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
On Christmas Day, Grealish's girlfriend, Sasha Attwood, shared a family photo on Instagram of the couple and their daughter, Mila Rose, wearing matching tartan pyjamas. The night out appears to have been a one-off festive blow-out for the footballer before returning to his domestic and professional commitments.
