Criscilla Crossland, the Netflix star known for appearing in 'Country Ever After' and as a choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, has died at the age of 45. Her death was confirmed via Instagram, where her final message to fans was shared.
In her message, Crossland wrote: 'If you’re reading this, I’ve finally slipped into the arms of Jesus — peacefully and surrounded by love. Please don’t stay in the darkness of this moment. I fought hard and I loved deeply. I am not gone… I’m Home.' She had been diagnosed with colon cancer seven years ago.
Crossland was married to country musician Coffey Anderson from 2009 until he filed for divorce in 2022. The couple had three children together. They starred in the Netflix reality series 'Country Ever After', which aired in 2020 and documented Crossland's cancer treatment while raising their family.
Before her television career, Crossland worked as a hip hop dancer, performing with artists including Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, and Britney Spears. She also appeared in the Netflix series 'America's Sweethearts' as a choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Coffey Anderson paid tribute to his ex-wife on social media, saying: 'Heaven gained a star today. We miss you already. Our hearts are shattered. ... So, dance your heart out on the beach in heaven.' Other celebrities, including Oscar-winner Viola Davis and American Idol star Danny Gokey, also expressed their condolences.
