Emergency services are dealing with an incident in the Peterlee area of County Durham. A large police presence has been established at a property on Passfield Way, with a cordon and forensics officers on site.

Police and Ambulance Response

Several police vehicles have been observed at the scene. The North East Ambulance Service has also provided support. Durham Constabulary has been approached for further details.

A forensics tent and police cordon were visible in images from the location. The ambulance service confirmed it was called around 7am.

Ambulance Service Statement

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident on Passfield Way, Shotton shortly after 7am on 13 June. We dispatched a double crewed ambulance, a clinical team leader, a rapid response paramedic and a specialist paramedic."
