The former partner of Collingwood Magpies star Bobby Hill has announced she is expecting another child, months after the couple's separation became public knowledge.
Heartwarming Christmas Announcement
Georgia Devlin shared the news on social media with a series of images showing her decorating a Christmas tree with her two sons, Bobby Junior and Malakai. In the photos, she prominently displayed her baby bump. The post was captioned 'Our favourite time of the year'. Notably, Bobby Hill was absent from the images and was not tagged in the announcement. At the time of the reveal, Hill had not publicly commented on or liked the post, though his cousin, St Kilda player Bradley Hill, did show his support.
Turmoil Following the Split
The pregnancy revelation comes after a period of significant personal difficulty for the AFL footballer. Hill and Devlin reportedly separated earlier in the 2024 season, after which Devlin returned to her home state of Western Australia with their children. Soon after, Hill stepped away from Australian Rules football for a five-week hiatus. During this break, he posted emotionally about missing his sons, offering the first public indication of the family breakdown.
His return to the Magpies in Round 21 was brief, as illness ruled him out again the following week. Questions mounted when he did not travel with Collingwood to Adelaide for a match, despite later reports suggesting he had intended to join the squad. Coach Craig McRae confirmed the club's primary concern was Hill's welfare, shifting focus away from his on-field performance. The situation was compounded when Devlin spoke out against racist online abuse she received in connection to the split.
Focus on the Future
While Devlin's post was met with a flood of congratulatory messages, Hill has remained largely quiet on social media. Hours after the pregnancy announcement, he shared a video of NFL star Shedeur Sanders discussing perseverance, adding a '100' emoji. The clip carried the caption 'the marathon continues'.
Bobby Hill remains under contract with the Collingwood Football Club until the end of the 2026 AFL season. Club officials have moved to shut down speculation about his future, stating they expect him to return with his focus on football once his personal situation stabilises. For now, all eyes are on the impending new arrival and the continuing personal journeys of those involved.
