Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made a frank admission about the uncertainty surrounding his future at the Emirates Stadium, revealing that even his own players are asking questions.
Arteta Cannot Guarantee His Arsenal Future
With just 18 months remaining on his current contract, speculation is mounting over whether the Spaniard will extend his stay. Arteta, who took charge six years ago without prior head coaching experience, has transformed the club into Premier League title contenders.

"I think the manager has to earn the right to be here tomorrow. That is how you react, how you talk here, how you go in the dressing room, the message that you send, how much the players follow you."
He confirmed that his squad have sought clarity, adding: "They [Arsenal stars] do ask me but I can not lie to them. I don't know, it is something that does not depend on me." Arteta did stress his personal commitment, saying, "Are you really happy here? Do you feel that you have the energy and you feel you can take this club? Yes. One hundred per cent, yes. But I think it does not depend only on me."
Gunners Eye January Double Transfer Swoop
Amid the backdrop of this uncertainty, Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta is reportedly plotting reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window. Initially expected to be quiet after a busy summer, the club's need for squad depth to sustain a title challenge has prompted a rethink.
