Benn Blends Boxing Heritage with High Fashion
British boxing star Conor Benn has unveiled the bespoke kit he will wear for his highly anticipated fight against Chris Eubank Jr. This unique ensemble, set to debut on Saturday 15 November, is the result of a collaboration between heritage sports brand Everlast and luxury fashion house Palm Angels, designed by Bespoke Boxing.
A Personal Tribute and a Visual Metaphor
The design is deeply personal for the 29-year-old fighter. The deep royal blue and pure white palette is a direct nod to the colours his father, the legendary Nigel Benn, wore during his own iconic bouts against Chris Eubank Sr in the 1990s. This symbolic choice revives a historic rivalry through their sons.
Crafted entirely in printed paillettes, the kit offers a shimmering update to boxing tradition. The visual elements extend beyond colour. A curved Palm Angels logo arcs across the back, while flame motifs rise from the hem, creating a powerful visual metaphor for the intensity and focus required moments before a fight.
Benn stated, "I've had the idea for this white and blue kit for some time. It's a nod to my dad's second fight with Eubank Senior, a mark of respect that means everything to me." He further explained his philosophy, adding, "Boxing and fashion go hand in hand – how you present yourself is part of your identity. I'm meticulous about every detail... Every element matters because when the moment comes, it all adds up to how you perform."
More Than Sportswear: A Luxury Collection
The collaboration signals a significant moment where sport and luxury fashion collide. For Benn, this fight represents a chance at redemption as he continues to rebuild his career. His doping suspension was lifted by the U.K. National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) in 2024 after a positive test for a banned substance prior to his originally scheduled, and subsequently cancelled, fight with Eubank Jr in October 2022.
Alberto Furlan, Head of Design at Palm Angels, described the kit as intended to feel like "armour – something that carries both history and attitude." He explained the vision was to "turn a fight into a moment of style and legacy," honouring boxing's ritualistic nature while pushing its visual identity into new territory.
The partnership extends beyond the ring with a limited-edition capsule collection available from Friday 14 November. The exclusive line includes:
- Two T-shirts priced at £155 each
- A hoodie for £235
- Boxing gloves for $499 USD (not for sale in the UK)
All pieces echo Benn's fight-night design and feature the flame-lit Everlast logo. They will be available exclusively at Flannels, everlast.com, and palmangels.com. Joey Gabbay, CEO of Bluestar Alliance, Palm Angels' parent company, called the project a "defining partnership" that pushes the boundaries of how luxury streetwear interacts with global sport and culture.
This move by Benn to merge legacy, sport, and self-expression through high-design kit reflects a broader generational shift. For today's athletes, personal image is increasingly seen not as a distraction, but as a powerful extension of their performance and identity.
