White House Denies 'Deranged Conspiracy Theory' Trump Was Rushed to Hospital

The White House has forcefully denied what it called a 'deranged conspiracy theory' that President Donald Trump was rushed to hospital on Saturday. The rumours began after the White House announced at 11:08am that the president would not make any public appearances for the rest of the day, an unusual move as Trump typically spends weekends golfing at Mar-a-Lago.

The official 'Rapid Response 47' X account issued a series of denials after social media posts claimed Trump had been taken to Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC. One tweet read: 'Deranged liberals cook up insane conspiracy theories when @POTUS goes 12 hours without speaking to press. (They said nothing when Biden routinely went 12 days without speaking to press) Fear not! President Trump literally never stops working.'

The account also responded to liberal influencer Ed Krassenstein, who had shared a post stating 'Speculation is rising that Donald Trump is at Walter Reed Medical Center.' The White House replied: 'No, you’re just a weapons-grade moron'.

White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung did not directly address the hospital rumours but posted on X on Saturday evening: 'There has never been a President who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump. On this Easter weekend, he has been working nonstop in the White House and Oval Office. God Bless him.'

The president's health has been a topic of scrutiny throughout his second term, with observers noting public gaffes, physical constraints, and reported medical issues. Recently, plasters and make-up on Trump's hands have sparked online debate.
